The Okeechobee Blvd & SR 7 Multimodal Corridor Study will identify transportation and land use opportunities through coordination and interaction with businesses, the public and other relevant government agencies. Study findings related to transportation and land use concepts will be shared on this webpage throughout the study process.

The Okeechobee Blvd & SR 7 Multimodal Corridor Study includes transit, roadway, land use and economic development analyses for the following seven alternatives:

  1. No-build/No-action 

  2. Mixed traffic bus with limited stops 

  3. Business Access and Transit (BAT) curbside lanes 

  4. Center-platform dedicated-lane Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) 

  5. Curbside dedicated-lane BRT 

  6. Center-platform dedicated-lane Light Rail Transit (LRT) 

  7. Elevated grade-separated LRT 

Study findings related to multimodal transportation will be shared on these sub webpages throughout the study process. The study will identify land use and economic impacts and develop potential station area development programming while focusing on the multimodal and roadway impacts and implications of the preferred and seven alternatives.
